THE MAGIC OF CINEMA ORIGINATES IN THE HEART

Play Theme Score of THE MONOLOGUE composed by James Vasanthan

WATCHING AND WAITING

I say to you today, my friends, that in spite of the difficulties and frustrations of the moment, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the Indian Cinema.

I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all creators of art are created equal."

I have a dream that one day on the streets of Indian cities the thriving, talented and innovative film makers and creative producers be able to sit down together at a table of making profitable, yet good cinema.

I have a dream that one day prejudice will take its back seat and film producers will be able to assess talents on how a creator thinks and executes his greatest dreams conceived on the pulp to celluloid, rather than recommendations and superficial gimmicks, which the audience have over years tend to reject.

I have a dream that my family and kin who wonder why it is that hard work and utter sincerity towards working for a better Cinema is gone unnoticed., will feel caroused on their lacerated hearts by the feather of acceptance of talent and hard work rather than issues which makes absolutely no difference to the state of their films or their profits. That sincerity will not be judged by any other extra-curricular activities based on carnal craves

I have a dream today.

I have a dream that one day the great nation of India , whose law maker's lips are presently dripping with the words of interposition and nullification, will be transformed into a situation where little influential creators of art will be able to join hands with little producers and financiers and go hand in hand to create a difference in the world’s perspective of films made in our great nation.

I have a dream today.

I have a dream that one day every hidden talent shall be exalted, every greed and name spoilers of this great art of cinema shall be made low, the complicated portrayals of cinema by the selfish film ancestors will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight, and the glory of the talent and hard work shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together.
